Introduction

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of creating and editing shipping methods in the Afosto admin panel. These shipping methods can be set up for various sales channels and are available at the contract level.

Preparation

  1. Make sure you are logged into your Afosto admin account.
  2. Navigate to the shipping methods section by visiting https://admin.afosto.app/shipments/shipping-methods.

Step-by-step

  1. Click on the "Add" button in the top-right corner of the page to create a new shipping method.
  2. Select a carrier for your shipping method from the available options.
  3. Define the delivery zone for the shipping method, which specifies the countries or regions where the method is valid.
  4. Enter a name for the shipping method, which will appear in the Afosto backend and checkout in the primary language.
  5. Provide descriptions and instructions for the customer in the appropriate sections.
  6. If you want to support multiple languages, utilize the translations section to input translations for the name, description, and instructions.
  7. Set the costs for the shipping method, including any fixed or percentile charges.
  8. Use the options section to specify additional options for the shipping method, such as same-day delivery, Sunday delivery, pick-up point, delivery to neighbors, signed delivery, and identity check.
